STAND N° G01 – G02 – G03 / DARSENA EUROPA
La Spezia May 9, 2018 – The Gavio Group is again the key player at the Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous with three prestigious yachting brands: Baglietto – historical shipyard based in La Spezia with over 160 years of history specializing in the construction of luxury megayachts from 35m to 70m; Bertram Yachts – an iconic American sportfisherman builder; and CCN – a versatile shipbuilder focusing in fully customized “Fuoriserie” projects from 27m to 50m.
The concept of VYR stems from the Nautica Italiana Association and is organized by Fiera Milano and the Tuscany Yachting District as it represents the beginning of the summer season promoting the best of the international yachting community. An exclusive event dedicated to yachting excellence confirming the positive trend of the market.
The event held in Viareggio from the 10th to the 13th of May, will host the entire Gavio Group fleet with an exceptional line up: 7 yachts from 10.6m to 50m.
Baglietto will be presenting the 48m “Andiamo”, the last vessel launched in La Spezia. She boasts a steel hull and aluminum superstructure designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design and is making her debut at an Italian yachting event. She was awarded best layout of its range at Cannes in 2017. The 46m “Lucky Me”, awarded as “2017 Robb Report’s Best of the Best”, will be among the yachts on display together with the 43m “Pachamama”, the first built of the new Fast range. The MV13 inspired by the world war MAS and the military vessel FFC15 will be on display as well. In addition, CCN will be at the show with its 50m “Elsea”, winner of the World Yacht Trophy “Revelation of the year” 2017. She is the largest yacht ever built by the shipyard and was presented at the Cannes and Monaco shows in 2017. Lastly, Bertram will be presenting the most popular model, the 35’ “Moppie”.
A program rich with events including Art&Yachting where art meets the yachting world: Saturday, 12th of May from 6:00 pm to 11:00pm in Pietrasanta. Baglietto shipyard will partner with the Art Gallery Marcorossi presenting two yacht models: the 48m and the MV19, while a historical Baglietto 4,5m yacht of 1925 – MY “Popi” – will be exhibited in the center of the main square.
Boat builder Baglietto Spa, part of the Gavio Group and based in La Spezia (Italy), specialises in the construction of new planing aluminium yachts ranging between 35 and 50 metres in length and steel & aluminium displacement mega-yachts above 40 metres. The company’s activities also include world-class repair and refitting services, as well as the construction of military crafts, the Seagull brand’s traditional business, under the Baglietto Navy brand. Extending over a more-than-35,000 sq. metre area overlooking the Gulf of the Poets – a truly strategic area for mega-yacht traffic in the Tyrrhenian sea -, the shipyard recently completed an extensive reconstruction project that involved both its manufacturing and commercial facilities.
About Bertram Yachts
Bertram Yachts got its start in 1960 when founder Dick Bertram – yacht broker, and powerboat racer built the first Bertram, the 31-foot Moppie, based on the Deep-V hull design he used to smash the Miami to Nassau race record. The Bertram 31 launched a line of performance and sportfishing boats that are known around the world for their excellent ride and seakeeping in unforgiving conditions. The company continues this tradition after a group headed by Mr. Beniamino Gavio acquired the business in 2015 and moved to a new shipyard in Tampa, Fla. Bertram began construction of a new 35’ model that honors the tradition of the classic 31’ using the most advanced design and construction methods, a 61’ honoring the class 54’ and will begin a 50’ model in 2019.
CCN, which has been part of the Gavio Group since 2011, together with the Baglietto and Bertram brands, specializes in the construction of 86’ and 102’ high-performing planning fibreglass yachts. With the ‘Fuoriserie’ line, the range that the Carrara-based boat builder is offering the market extends further. CCN has currently 3 “Fuoriserie” projects under construction: the 40m with Floating Life for an American Owner, a 27m by Spadolini for the fashion designer Roberto Cavalli and the most recent project of 41m signed by Guido de Groot. Flexibility, together with the utmost care for the Client’s wishes, is indeed the key feature of the entire product range proposed by CCN, who has recently started to work on a new 50 m craft by Studio Bacigalupo, the Lysithea 50, based on the Elsea’s hull and which will be available in a hydro-jet or shaft-line version.Production of the more traditional line in fiberglass is also continuing, and was recently joined by new projects by Tommaso Spadolini – ‘small 30 / 35 m mega yachts’ in steel and aluminium alloy.
