New Baglietto 46-metre displacement yacht launched in La Spezia, Italy

The new motor-yacht will be officially exhibited at Cannes and Monaco Boat Shows.

La Spezia, July 7th 2014 – The new Baglietto 46-metre displacement motor-yacht was launched yesterday at the shipyard in La Spezia, the first unit of Baglietto displacement yacht range: she will be the protagonist at Cannes Yachting Festival from September 9th onto 14th and at Monaco Yacht Show from September 24th onto 27th. The technical launch was performed at the presence of the workers, craftsmen and management of the shipyard: they greeted the yacht with emotion, being it the very first among five vessels within 43 and 54-metre range, currently undergoing construction at the shipyard.

The design of the new 46-metre displacement yacht is created by Francesco Paszkowski who conceived both the exterior profiles as well as the interiors. The interior design has been developed in co-operation with Margherita Casprini, architect. This sophisticated and outstanding yacht can be inserted within Baglietto new product range, yet maintaining the traditional features of Baglietto motor-yachts such as,for example the combination of slightly squared lines with lines being more winding and more gentle. A wide beach club of about 25 square metres characterizes the yacht stern while the bow area represents the location of a 5,50-metre dinghy as well as of a rescue boat.

The interior spaces are outstanding, too and are characterized by harmonious contradictions between features inspired by the purest minimalism and by Nature, in a mixture of dark and light colors, thus creating an atmosphere of sophisticated elegance.

The Autumn boat shows will also become the occasion to introduce the new projects of Baglietto shipyard conceived by Francesco Paszkowski: three planing motor-yachts – a 46 metres, a 43 metres currently undergoing construction as well as a new 35 metres and two new projects of displacement yachts – a 55 metres and a 62 metres. To these two product range which are the core business of the shipyard, it is worthwhile mentioning the MV’s product range to be considered the “elder sister” of MV13 that was exhibited with success in Cannes last year. Baglietto shipyard, which this year celebrates its 160th anniversary, was recently appointed by two European ship-owners to build a 46-metre and a 54-metre motor-yachts.

Baglietto shipyard is specialized in the construction of new aluminum planing and semi-planing from 35 onto 50 metres as well as displacement super-yachts above 40 metres in aluminum and steel. The production activity is completed by a refitting and a restoration activity and in the near future by the construction of military vessels, which belong to the oldest manufacturing tradition of the “seagull” branded shipyard.

The shipyard spreads over 35.000 square metres and faces La Spezia and the “Poets’ Gulf” which is a strategic area for the navigation of super-yachts in the Mediterranean sea. Furthermore, the shipyard has recently started a renovation project of the workshop area with includes considerable modifications and up-grading of the production facilities as well as office buildings.
