Baglietto secures sale of fifth T52 motor yacht
La Spezia, 7 February 2022 _ Just over a month after the sale of another hull in the same line, Baglietto scores another major achievement, closing the deal for the fifth T52 – the innovative 52 m yacht penciled by Francesco Paszkowski Design. The sale of hull #10251 was secured thanks to the precious support of Boomer Jousma of Italian Yacht Group, representing the Owner, who worked side by side with the Baglietto Americas office based in Fort Lauderdale.
“We are delighted about this new sale, which seals a truly extraordinary week for Baglietto following the announcement, only a few days ago, of the sale of the fifth DOM – comments Baglietto’s Chief Commercial Officer Fabio Ermetto. Both sales are the result of our close cooperation with our American office – another very meaningful and important aspect that validates the excellent strategic choices made so far. It’s a wonderful start to the new year, which fills us with even greater hope and confidence in the future”.
This model is meeting with unprecedented success, considering that, with the first T52 scheduled to be launched later this year, no hull in the series has even hit the water yet. Designer Francesco Paszkowski has created an incredibly stylish modern yacht, characterized by slender, sinuous lines that well reflect Baglietto’s contemporary soul while leaving the brand’s glorious tradition unscathed; the fortunate combination of such elegance and beauty and the shipyard’s ability to meet today’s market needs and requirements has resulted in a unique vessel that stands out for her strong character and distinctive personality.
Close contact with the sea is ensured by the original open stern featuring a beach club that develops over 3 levels and has already become a hallmark of Baglietto’s new course. The large pool can easily be concealed thanks to an ingenious up-down moving flooring system that further extends the available deck surface when the pool is not being used.
On the upper deck, the wide floor-to-ceiling windows opening on 3 sides create a pleasant “al fresco” lounge, with a conversation area and a dining area to be enjoyed in all weather conditions.
The approximately 24-metre-long sundeck – another distinguishing feature on Baglietto yachts – is unmatched on a vessel of this size and volume, and follows in the wake of Baglietto’s traditional displacement yachts.
This unit is equipped with two Caterpillar C32 engines that will push her to a cruising speed of 11 knots and a maximum speed of 16 knots. Delivery is expected in 2024.
“This T52 – the second sold on the American market in a limited time span – confirms to what extent the pure, essential beauty of this model, penciled by architect Paszkowski, is being widely appreciated overseas too as an ambassador of the Baglietto brand and of its unmistakable style – highlights CEO Diego Deprati. – This yacht, more than ever, flawlessly and harmoniously combines cutting-edge technology with the contemporary wish to live in close contact with the sea”.
Boat builder Baglietto specialises in the construction of new planing aluminium yachts ranging between 38 and 50 metres in length and steel & aluminium displacement mega-yachts above 40 metres. Baglietto can currently rely on 2 production sites, in La Spezia (headquarters) and Carrara (operating site). The La Spezia headquarters extend over an area of approximately 35,000 sq. m. Over the last few years, the entire production site has been extensively renovated and enlarged. Three new sheds (the last one was inaugurated in March 2020) allowing for the construction of yachts up to 65 m in length were built in La Spezia, as well as new fully-equipped quays, to berth vessels of up to 70 m. The operating site in Carrara, conversely, comprises 2 areas of 5,000 sq. m each. One is used to build military crafts, while in the other – now equipped with 4 new sheds – yachts up to 50 m in length are built. Baglietto’s activities are set to grow considerably, not only with regard to the construction of new pleasure vessels, but also in the military sector, with the BAGLIETTO NAVY brand, under which 2 crafts for the Italian Navy are currently under construction.
