THE NEW SEASON OF MAJOR INTERNATIONAL YACHTING EVENTS IS STARTING AND THE “BAGLIETTO SHOW” MAKES ITS DEBUT AT THE CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL

Cannes, 6 September 2022 – Against the magnificent backdrop of the Cote d’Azur, the world of yachting is stepping into the new great season of international events today with the “Cannes Yachting Festival, held from 6 to 11 September. And, it goes without saying, Baglietto will once more be among the leading exhibitors, with a world premiere: Rush, the new 42 m superfast planing motor yacht with both exteriors and interiors designed by Francesco Paszkowski, the latter in cooperation with Margherita Casprini. As implied by her name, Baglietto’s new “superstar” is a real tribute to speed, performances and power. But Rush can also boast a very contemporary, aggressive, and stylish look, from the original dark grey shade of the hull to the wide glazed surfaces: a successful combination that results in a light and slender profile. Rush is undoubtedly an unprecedented vessel, inspired by the same sea she will harmoniously blend with when cruising.

But that’s not all. Baglietto has more surprises in store: In Cannes, this icon of “Made in Italy” entrepreneurship, celebrated all over the world, will welcome its guests in an entirely renovated area, a lounge allowing to fully experience Baglietto’s “Atelier of Blue” and take an emotional journey in “Blueness”, Baglietto’s passion for beauty and for things done well, always pervaded by proudly Italian style.

Stage after stage, throughout the exciting season of yachting events, Baglietto will be accompanied by two exceptional partners, who share the boat builder’s strong focus on innovation and the environment, in addition to another important common denominator: water. The water of the sun-kissed seas of Hawaii, epitomised by the precious sunglasses by Maui Jim; and the water that gushes from the bowels of the earth, 236 metres deep, which San Benedetto has brought to light (and to the tables of the most exclusive restaurants) with ‘Antica Fonte della Salute Millennium Water’.

“Although we never miss the September boat shows, every edition comes with the thrill of an exciting debut”, comments Baglietto SpA’s CCO Fabio Ermetto. “This year, in particular, we are introducing 2 world premieres that clearly express where our shipyard currently stands, while in Monaco we will be presenting a new revolutionary project bound to represent Baglietto’s future top of the range. This has been an extremely intense year for us, with as many as 21 yachts currently under construction in the two sites of La Spezia and Carrara, 18 of which have already been sold, and an order portfolio exceeding €300 million – continues Ermetto. We have opened two new representative offices in Australia and Brazil and consolidated our sales offices in the USA, and we are also investing hugely in environmental sustainability and alternative energy sources with our project Bzero, which will soon come to life with an operating prototype at our shipyard. All of the above, of course, without ever forgetting the value of our heritage, through the recovery of our historical archive and the project of the Nautical Micro Museum, which will soon be paying tribute to our history and add even more prestige to our brand”.

About Baglietto

Boat builder Baglietto specialises in the construction of new planing aluminium yachts ranging between 38 and 50 metres in length and steel & aluminium displacement mega-yachts above 40 metres. Baglietto can currently rely on 2 production sites, in La Spezia (headquarters) and Carrara (operating site). The La Spezia headquarters extend over an area of approximately 35,000 sq. m. Over the last few years, the entire production site has been extensively renovated and enlarged. Three new sheds allowing for the construction of yachts up to 65 m in length were built in La Spezia, as well as new fully-equipped quays, to berth vessels of up to 70 m. A new travel lift was recently purchased, having a 1,200 ton lifting capacity – the largest in Europe. The operating site in Carrara, in turn, comprises 2 areas of 5,000 sq. m each. One is used to build military crafts, while in the other – now equipped with 4 new sheds – yachts up to 50 m in length are built. Baglietto’s activities are set to grow considerably, not only with regard to the construction of new pleasure vessels, but also in the military sector, with the BAGLIETTO NAVY brand, under which 2 crafts for the Italian Navy are currently under construction. Recently, Baglietto announced the establishment of Bertram Europe, a new division that will be in charge of building some models of the legendary US sport fisherman yachts at the Carrara shipyard, to meet the needs of European clients.
